I built my company here. I’ve helped lead Tooele forward through some of its most critical moments – from economic expansion to legal resolutions that unlocked our potential for growth. I didn’t just watch things happen – I helped make them happen by building trust and always putting Tooele first. The results of that work are visible today. Brad’s proven business success and record of results in city government make him uniquely qualified to lead Tooele into a financially strong and vibrant future.

From 2011 to 2019, Brad served on the Tooele City Council, including four years as Chairman and three years as RDA Chairman. He applied his private-sector expertise to public service, helping settle the Tooele Associates lawsuit, which unlocked growth and cleared the way for new commercial expansion.

For more than 30 years, Brad Pratt has owned and operated a successful national medical-management company. His unmatched expertise in leadership, finance, and organizational management sets him apart as the only candidate with real business experience. Brad knows how to balance budgets, manage growth, and build opportunities—skills Tooele needs in its next mayor.

As RDA Chairman, Brad directed strategic planning and land purchases that led to Founder’s Point and other major projects. His leadership attracted more than $850 million in new business investment and
created over 650 jobs. He also worked to strengthen public safety by securing land for new Police, Fire, and Air Med facilities.

Protecting Your Tax Dollars

I’ll ensure every dollar is used effectively and transparently for the greatest benefit.

Improving transportation

I’ll fight to complete the Midvalley Highway and critical East/West transportation corridors.

Securing our water

I’ll unite key parties to implement long-term access to water resources that will serve the community for the next 75 years.

Strengthening residential growth

I’ll fight to keep zoning decisions local, not in the hands of the state or state appointed boards. Tooele is growing rapidly. We need homes that attract families and offer a variety of options for citizens, while
preserving our city’s character.

Fostering economic growth

I want to attract new businesses with competitive wages to increase our local revenue base & reduce
the tax burden on citizens. I will support current businesses to continue to thrive.

Protecting & prioritizing the quality of life we cherish

I will continue to promote safe parks, clean neighborhoods, and strong youth programs.

My wife Kaye and I have been married for 48 years. We are lifelong residents of Tooele. We raised our three children here and now we’re watching our six grandchildren grow up in the same beautiful valley. They all live, work, and attend Tooele schools, play on our sports fields and enjoy the same community that gave me so much growing up. I’m committed to protecting their future, just as I will protect yours.

I am a business owner, a problem solver, and a public servant with a record of results.  I don’t have to learn how our city works – I’ve already helped lead it. I know the challenges. I know the opportunities. And most importantly I know the people.

2011-2019​

I served four years as Council Chairman and three years as RDA Chairman.

Played pivotal role in negotiation collaboration to resolve the decades-long lawsuit, unlocking and igniting the residential growth and commercial expansion we see today.

RDA Chairman

2015-2018​

Played key role in planning and land acquisition for Founders Pointe development with Ross, T.J. Maxx, and more retailers and restaurants. I’m experienced in turning strategy into reality for a better future in Tooele.

Wasatch Front Regional Council Representative

Advocated for the construction of the Midvalley Highway, which runs through the northern part of the Tooele Valley. Phase 1 is complete.

Improved Public Safety

Secured land and implemented the plans for our new Police and Fire stations. Brought University of Utah Air Med Base to Tooele improving our emergency response services.

Improved City’s Economy

Helped develop & implement Council economic plans leading to $850 million in business investment in our city.

Expanded Education Corridor

Completed Blue Peak High, Tooele Technology College, and expanded Utah State University Tooele, investments which attract employers & educate our families, Kindergarten through Master’s degrees.

Community Volunteer

Before I held office, I led a 3-year citizen’s charge against Rocky Mountain Power successfully relocating high voltage power lines away from neighborhoods and schools. Together we protected our skyline, our property values, preserved open space, created Skyline Park, and gained additional power access for Tooele.
